According to the organizers, the 2025 edition features eight award categories: Outstanding digital technology products in (1) industry and construction, (2) agriculture, natural resources and environment, (3) transport, postal services and logistics, (4) education, healthcare, culture and society, (5) finance, banking, commerce and services, (6) products for overseas markets, (7) strategic digital technology products, and (8) potential digital technology products.

A highlight of this year’s awards is the new category for Strategic Digital Technology Products, aligned with the list of strategic technologies and products approved under Decision No. 1131/QĐ-TTg (June 12, 2025). This category covers products applying cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain, cloud computing, 5G/6G, semiconductor chips, virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR), robotics, and automation.

The “Potential Products” category is reserved for micro, small, and startup enterprises, with Vietnamese investors required to hold at least 51% ownership. Meanwhile, the “Products for Overseas Markets” category has been expanded to include enterprises established abroad but majority-owned by Vietnamese shareholders.

Applications are open from September 4 to October 22, 2025, through the online portal giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn. The award ceremony is scheduled for December, within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises.

Winning products will receive trophies, certificates, and the right to use the “Make in Vietnam” logo in commercial and promotional activities. Awardees will also benefit from government and VCCI support in trade promotion, investment attraction, technology commercialization, participation in pilot projects, and priority in national digital transformation programs.

A representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology emphasized that the awards are not only a platform to celebrate domestic innovation but also a driving force for enterprises to master strategic technologies and enhance Vietnam’s global competitiveness in the digital economy.
